Miss Everett was born  in 1816 in St. Stevens Alabama.  She died on October 10, 1878 in Chunchula, Alabama.  Her Father, John Fagan Evans was a State Representative from Washington Co. Alabama and twice Mayor of Mobile.  Her Mother was Sarah Hand. 

   She married Augustus Brooks, a successful Merchant in Mobile.  He was born in Virginia 1810 and died in Mobile on February 11, 1871 .  They are buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile Alabama
